Fairmont Heritage Place Increase Portfolio With Two New Destinations

Fairmont Heritage PlaceFairmont Heritage Place has announced that it has assumed the management of two Private Residence Clubs previously operated by Storied Places, an Intrawest company. The new Fairmont Heritage Place properties Nature’s Door in Whistler, British Columbia and Inspiration on Miramar Beach in Sandestin, Florida. 

These new additions to Fairmont Heritage Place expand their current portfolio to five locations with over 200 luxury homes and more than 2,000 homeowners worldwide.

Baja Fractional Beach House Meets the Needs of the Green Consumer

Casa del Sol Fractional Home, Baja, MexicoSJR Capital has announced their plans to build a new fractional beachfront residence, Casa del Sol, on Southern Baja’s East Cape.  This project is truly green in every sense of the word. Casa del Sol will be sold in 13 shares, eliminating the need for 13 individual homes that could potentially sit vacant most of the year to be built. In addition, solar power will be the primary souce of energy, and water for the gardens and property soil will be recycled. The residence’s interior will utilize as much natural light as possible, and organic paints will be used to protect the air quality.

Boston Globe on Fractional OwnershipElizabeth Gehrman has written an interesting and education article for The Boston Globe on the growing trend of Fractional Ownership. The article discusses the differences between timeshares and fractionals, different types of usage plans and outlines typical fractional resort amenities. Mentioned in the article are two existing fractional resorts:  the new Newstead Belmont Hills in Bermuda and the Cape Codder Residence Club in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
